The Widow's Mite

Choice 5: The Widow’s mite was acceptable to the Lord because it was all that she had. This was a great sacrifice to her but she willingly gave it. Although the other people gave more in their donations they only gave of their abundance and it was not a true sacrifice. When we put forth our best effort, even though it may not seem like much in comparison to others, the Lord will be pleased with our offering. The grace of the Savior’s atonement makes our sincere offering enough. I can be better about giving my all to the Lord by seeking out ways to bless the lives of others. Instead of waiting to be asked for an opportunity to serve I can prayer for more guidance and offer specific ways that I can help others. I know the Lord will help me and that He will be pleased with my honest effort.
